Don’t worry about counting glasses, because Sirromet are offering you a place to crash. The family-owned winery has just launched luxury accommodation which promises to bring you closer to nature. It’s called Sanctuary, and it’s ideal for a luxe getaway.

Here at The Urban List we love the Coast’s retro past so imagine how happy we were when we learnt that the iconic Pink Hotel in Coolangatta was getting a loving facelift. That’s right the Barbie pink accommodation is headed back to her glory days thanks to the good folk at Eddies Grub House, the burger, whiskey and live music venue that’s conveniently located underneath the hotel. Squeal! 

How a festival dedicated to probably the world’s most iconic food hasn’t popped up before really does leave us stumped. Name a more delectable food than a crispy rasher of bacon. We’ll wait…

We’ve tracked down the biggest life expectancy culling beverage on the Australian bar scene at the moment and it promises to be nothing less than a heart attack in a glass. While Golden Gaytime everything has basically enveloped this country over the last 18 months, crawling its way into breakfast dishes (Golden Gaytime French toast anyone?), lunch menus and dessert cafes. But this year it went one step further and landed its way on the bar scene, perfecting a total food scene takeover.

Is it just us or has Burleigh Heads become “Little Sydney”? With breaking news that yet another super talented chef from down south is setting up shop in the popular suburb, we’re going to say yes. Our latest recruit to the Gold Coast foodie scene is Chef Andrea Riva who is set to open the doors to restaurant Osteria Del Mare in just two short weeks and we’re positively buzzing!

Down in this beautiful pocket of the world we’re blessed with some of the most incredible beaches and marine life, but it’s on us all do our bit to ensure the next gen can enjoy and appreciate that big, beautiful blue and its inhabitants.
